Taping of Disneyland’s segment of an annual Christmas show that airs on Dec. 25 on ABC-TV is expected to take place this weekend, according to the buzz on several websites, including MousePlanet.com.
Disney officials don’t typically publicize the taping in advance.
According to a dance website that advertises travel packages for young dancers who want to participate in TV tapings, the bulk of events will take place on Saturday morning.
Last year, the taping attracted Disney Channel star Selena Gomez, performers from “Dancing with the Stars” and music from Big Bad Voodoo Daddy.
Disney officials don’t release information about the dates and times of the performances ahead of time because of frequent schedule changes and the inability for all guests to see the show.
Mouseplanet.com gives the following advice:
“If you visit Disneyland on Saturday, stay clear of Main Street and the Central Plaza hub to avoid the crowds, detours, and traffic control around the filming. If you’re hoping to watch the parade taping, get to the park at opening (8 a.m. for the general public; 7 a.m. for guests with Magic Morning access) and bring your patience.”
